Elora meandered down to where the frozen waterfalls put on a dazzling show of water falling down from the ice fields above her position. The waters tumbled down into the partially ice-covered pond. She sat down on the shoreline and watched the fish lazily swim through the water.

Rosenlyn then spoke to her, “What’s wrong Elora? I sense you searching deep within, there is conflict in your soul. I sense it. Our daughter feels it too.” Elora answered her, “My father and mother revealed my identity to Isran. Why? What purpose does that serve. You know how I hate so much attention.”

There was silence for a moment, and she watched the icicles that formed from the water flowing over the falls extended themselves ever so slowly downward toward the water below. Rosenlyn asked, “Elora, what will you do once you reach the Ruby Throne in Cyrodiil? Do you not think that you will not have the attention of the whole of Nirn? Maybe, your parents are trying to prepare you to become a ruler.”

Elora bit back at that, “I did not come to rule over others, to command them, to dominate them. I came to bring about a new age where we stand as equals.” Rosenlyn replied, “Ouch, our daughter felt the bitterness in your words.” Elora said, “This is so hard Rosenlyn. Being here alone without you, without the others.”

Rosenlyn replied, “Do you not think we don’t feel the same?” Elora then said, “You know, you better get well rested as I may have to spend days frolicking under the covers once I return.” Rosenlyn said, “I look forward to that as does our daughter. I think she waits for your return so she can feel your gentle touch as you lay your hands upon my now swollen stomach.”

Elora said, “I love you both so much!” Rosenlyn replied, “We love you too Elora. One heart, forever more.” Rosenlyn spoke, “Elora, I don’t think you’ll have to command or dominate as a ruler. I bet your parents are trying to get you to realize that even in bringing about a new age where all stand together as equals. It will still require gentle guidance, a subtle touch.”

Elora replied, “You may be right Rosenlyn. Thank you for being there for me when I need you most. How are the others? They miss you Elora and they worry a great deal about you. I tell them what I can.”

Elora stood up and said, “Well I sense this Nord, Gunmar. He is near the bear cave to the right side of the path leading up to the first Emblem in Ivarstead. Time for me to leave and have a talk with him.”

In that moment Elora vanished and reappeared on the hillside overlooking the town of Ivarstead. She began to walk down and over the bridge so she could speak with this Gunmar. She crossed over and saw a large Nord kneeling outside of the cave. He saw her and said, “Mind yourself. There’s a vicious bear on the loose. I’ve chased this bear for two weeks, and he finally managed to corner it in this cave.”

Elora replied, “That bear is not alone in there. I know this cave; there are other bears in there as well.” Elora then said, “By the way, Isran wants to see you. He needs your help!” Gunmar replied, “Isran, needs someone else’s help? Never thought I would hear that. I am afraid he is a few years too late. I have moved on. I have more important business to attend to. Besides, he can handle anything alone! He assured me himself.”

Gunmar paused then asked, “What could he possibly need my help with?” Elora said, “Well there is a new threat bigger than big bears with bad attitudes. The kind that could end the world as we know it.”

Gunmar asked, “What might that be?” Elora replied, “How about an ancient Vampire clan who are obsessed with some ancient prophecy about turning all the world into darkness and them never having to fear the sun again. Eternal darkness. Ah, I almost forget. They have an Elder Scroll too!”

Gunmar, “An Elder Scroll, that can’t possibly be good. Okay, I tell you what. You help me with this bear problem, and I’ll go to wherever Isran is and look into his request. Fair enough?” Elora said, “Let me go in first. Try and reason with them. Wait five minutes. If you hear lots of roars or fighting. Come on in and we can finish the fight together.”

Gunmar then asked, “Who are you anyway? How did you learn to talk to animals like that? Does it extend to all creatures?” Elora replied, “My name is Elora. Yes, it a family inheritance of sorts that allows me to speak with all creatures as long as they have not been influenced or become sick by something.”

Elora stood up, turned to him and said, “Start counting.” Elora returned shortly and said, “The angry bear you’ve been tracking was angry because some hunters came into his family’s cave and killed his mate and their children. This cave has a lonely female bear in it and they’ve agreed to become a family. I told him I would warn the locals to stay away from them and not hunt them. He thanked me and said he would keep an eye on the town in return, if they helped to let them live in peace.”

Gunmar said, “Can what you know be taught. I would love to know how to do that.” Elora said, “Some of it can. I will spend some time with you after I go and find this Sorine person. “Gunmar said, “Sorine, I know her. Smart as they come, that one. I take it Isran is still at that old Fort down near Riften?”

Elora replied, “Yes, he said go there and Sorine and I will join you once I find her.” Gunmar said, there is a remote place off to the north and west of Markarth. Follow the river that flows west with a high side to it. In time you’ll likely hear their activity. Be careful of the Foresworn. That area is infested by them. “Elora said, “Thank you Gunmar. I need to be going. “

Elora returned to the remote site above Ivarstead. Set her mind for Markarth and then vanished and returned again outside of the city. Elora sat down and searched and reached out then discovered the location of Sorine was close to Mor Khazgur a remote Orc Stronghold. Elora thought, “I can use it as a destination then head south. This dig site doesn’t appear to be on any map so it must not be known by many people.”

Elora closed her eyes and then vanished and appeared again just south of the Orc Stronghold. She searched and then saw a site that looked Dwarven. It wasn’t much of a site though, mostly ruins. There must be something there that interest this Sorine. She made her way towards it and as she approached she saw a cute Breton girl standing there mumbling.

Elora heard her say, “What would mudcrabs want with my satchel, anyway?” and “Just one gyro. One, and I can get back to work. Where are they?” You approach her and she asks, “You haven’t seen a bag with a set of Dwarven gyros in it have you?” Elora replied, “No, but I can help you find them.” Her response was, “Okay then help me, don’t just stand there.”

Elora closed her eyes the said to her, “They are over there. Down near the shoreline. Like you said, Mudcrabs!” Sorine said, “Wait a minute, how did you do that? You didn’t even move from that spot!” Elora replied, “A family gift of mine, finding lost things, lost creatures, lost people, lost civilizations.” Sorine walked down and came back with her backpack of Gyros in it.

Sorine then asked, “By the way, who are you and what are you doing way out here in the middle of nowhere?” Elora replied, “My name is Elora and Isran needs your help!” Sorine replied, “Isran? Wants Me? No, you must be mistaken. He made it exceedingly clear that last time we spoke that he had no interest in my help. I find it hard to believe he’s changed his mind. He said some very hurtful things to me before I left.”

Elora replied, “Yeah! That sounds like Isran. He seems to practice pretty hard at that!” Sorine smiled, “Then said, okay you helped me find my Gyros. What does he want?” Elora said, “Well there’s this ancient Vampiric clan that wants to rule all of Nirn by turning the world into eternal night. Oh, and they have an Elder Scroll”

Sorine said, “An Elder Scroll, That is something I never expected. “What are they doing with that?” Elora replied, “You know that hidden prophecy stuff, something about turning day into forever night. Maybe related! What do you think?” Sorine laughed then and said, “Elora you certain have a funny sense of humor.” Elora replied, “I have been told that!”

Sorine said, “Okay where am I supposed to go?” Elora said, “Fort Dawnguard down near Riften. “Sorine said, “Okay, let me finish my experiment here and then I’ll meet you back at Fort Dawnguard. We will see what this is all about.”

Elora walked away and Sorine turned to her colleagues that were helping her. She turned back to say something to Elora, but she had simply vanished, like she had never been there. Sorine thought,” That girl sure was strange. Guess I will find out more about her once I get to the old fort. “

Elora took her time getting back to Fort Dawnguard. She knew she needed to give time for both Gunmar and Sorine to get there before her. Once she entered the valley she went back down to the ice-covered pond. Walked way over to the right-side where there was a hidden alcove. Stuck her finger in the water and warmed it up. She used her abilities to draw some hot steam up from deep within the earth.

She created her own hot spring. She then undressed and stepped into the warmed water and cleaned herself up. Rosenlyn then spoke, “You know Elora you are prettier than ever. “Elora said, “Well except for the scars all across my back shoulders and buttocks.” Rosenlyn replied, “I love you Elora, all of you, the good and the bad. How could I not?”

Elora then asked, “How’s our daughter, still being a problem child?” Rosenlyn replied, “She’s fine! She just has a lot of her mother’s attitude in her.” Elora smiled and Rosenlyn said, “That is better!” Rosenlyn then said, “Elora, she appears to be growing really fast, like I cannot hide my swollen stomach anymore. Is was like last night while I was sleeping she decided to go on some type of super growing spurt. There is going to be a lot of questions at breakfast this morning.”

Elora replied, “I thought that might happen, you know she’s a bit special with all that special bloodline in her. Not by just one of us either but two.” Rosenlyn said, “I had not consider that. You are likely correct though. “Rosenlyn then said, “Any idea where our third sister is and how she is doing?”

Elora replied, “I am glad you have come to understand and except that. I think it will be important, especially once she knows the truth about us, and that you bear our daughter. “Rosenlyn said, “So where is she?” Elora replied, “She is here!” Rosenlyn then replied, “Really! Because I don’t see her next to you.”

Elora replied, “No, not here as with me but in the Fort. She got here before me. Sorine and Gunmar are here too. I think they are waiting for me to arrive, so I have to finish up here and head for the fort.” Rosenlyn said, “Elora, be careful. I feel like your next journey is going to be very difficult on you. We’re here for you though. I love you!” Elora said, “I love you both. Have fun with breakfast!” Then she dressed and pulled her hood up again and walked towards the fort.

She wasn’t totally surprised to see the fort had been reinforced. She walked past some spiked enforcements. Then opened a gate and closed it behind her. She saw more Dawnguard recruitments on guard duty too. She continued to walk up and opened the doors to the fort and stepped into the receiving hall. Sorine and Gunmar turned and saw her.

Sorine looked up to where Isran stood up on the balcony above. Gunmar then said, “All right Isran, you have us all here now. What do you want?” Isran said, Elora, if you could step to the side, I need to test these two to be sure.” Sorine said, “What are you doing?” Isran replied, “Making sure you are not Vampires. Can’t be too careful. He performed the test and then Sorine asked, “I take it you have already tested Elora?” Isran replied, “Yes, I did.”

Isran then said, “Welcome to Fort Dawnguard. I am sure you have heard a bit of what we are up against. Powerful Vampires, unlike anything we have seen before.” Sorine asked, “What about the Elder Scroll?” Isran replied, “Well, Elora and I are going to have a chat with her friend who showed up at our place looking for you with the Elder Scroll Attached to her back.

Gunmar asked, “Who is she and how did she escape a Fortress or Castle full of dangerous Vampires?” Elora answered them both, “Because she is the daughter of the Vampire Lord there. She is also a Daughter of Coldharbour and my sister, so no harm is to come to her, understood!”

Sorine said, “Wait a minute. If she’s your sister how could you not be a Vampire like them. Elora replied, “Not in the literal sense of the word but a spiritual bond. I gave her a heart. A living beating one.” Gunmar exclaimed, “What, how did you do that. Just who or what are you anyway?”

Elora said, “In time you will know all, but for now understand I am a Dragonborn. I am also an Acolyte of ‘The Way’. Sorine exclaimed, “Wait a minute. I read about that back in High Rock where I grew up in some of the..” Elora interrupted and said, “Royal libraries where you lived.” Sorine said, “How did you know that? No one new that?” Elora didn’t answer but said, “What did the ancient tomes tell you?”

Sorine replied, “The Way is the ancient creed and practice of the Dragonguard of Elsweyr. How could you know that unless…” Elora said, “yes, I am very old and let’s leave it there.” Isran, “Is Serana upstairs with you?” “Yes, come on up, I’ll be waiting.” Elora walked away and found the stairway leading up to the balcony. Isran was waiting and said, “Before we go and see our princess of the night. Can we talk a moment?

Elora replied, “Of course, where to!” Follow me. There’s a place outside up along the walkways where we can speak in private. “Elora followed Isran. When they arrived outside, it was beginning to be twilight. Isran said, “I wanted you to know that your father and mother provided the funding and the craftsmen and women from Riften to help fix this place up. They told me we would need the extra protection so for us and for you, they have done this. “

Elora replied, “Okay!” Isran said, “That was unexpected. I am not used to people or divines in this case caring so much! Not since I lost my wife and children have I known that much compassion. I just wanted to say thank you, Elora and please thank them for me.”

Elora nodded then said, “Serana, how is she?” Isran said, “She is well. I have provided private quarters up here for her. “He paused then said, “Elora, she seems to care a great deal for you. She was really worried for your safety.” Elora said, “Thanks Isran. Let’s go see her so she can stop worrying.”

Isran said, “Follow me!” They went back inside and she followed him to a set of double doors. These were my old quarters so she should have been comfortable. He opened the doors and Serana was pacing the floors. She saw them and ran and hugged Elora. She hugged her back. Serana then said, “By the divines, I have never seen my father so scared. You really left a mark on him. He has even been speaking with Molag Bal and the Dark Court.”

Isran said, “I am going to check on Sorine and Gunmar. You two take some time to catch up. Isran closed the door behind them. Elora asked Serana, “How are you doing Serana. I am fine but how are you?” Elora then asked Serana, “So did the Dark Court have any ideas about me.” Serana replied, “No, although both Nocturnal and Sanguine were not their normal chatty personalities. I was told they were quiet.”

Elora then asked, “What about Malog Bal?” Serana said, Apparently, he told my father there have been reports of strange reality bending events all across Nirn. He has his suspicions but needs more time before saying anything.” Serana then asked, “Are you okay, you seem worried, distant.”

Elora replied, “Both are true, but I need some time to think through it. Elora and Serana took a nap together. Serana did not try to seduce Elora. She sensed that whatever had Elora upset. That she needed to give her space, give her time to work through it, just as Elora had done for her.

They heard the door knock, and both got up and Elora opened the door. Sorine was there, “Can we talk, the three of us.” Serana replied, “Really! You are not put off by what I am?” Sorine said, “I find it strange, but then again, I live in a world of strange since my primary area of study is the Dwemer. Besides, Elora trust you and I find her, in spite of all her mysteries, a very trusting presence.”

Elora said, “Come in Sorine, let’s shut the door for privacy and then you can voice your concerns.” Sorine said, “Elora, thank you.” They all sat down in a small circle around a small table on some wooden chairs. Sorine told them, “Isran came to me and told me about this Breton girl in Markarth. Another student of the Dwemer.”

She paused waiting to see if there were any questions yet. “Why me, what is so important about this girl that you Elora, who have never met her specifically request me, who also knows nothing about her to go and convince her to return with me here and help us with our missions?”

Elora replied, “Her name is Remiel; however, she refers to herself simply as Remi. She is a Breton Dwemer specialist. She hails from Wayrest. Having explored her fill of the Dwemer ruins in High Rock, she has moved on to explore Skyrim. She is not much of a fighter, more of an academic.”

Elora pauses then says, “She loves tinkering, reading tech manuals, enjoys trying new foods. She is highly observant but entirely self-taught. She relies heavily on practical experimentation rather than official guild training. She has exceptional skills in Engineering, Combat Support and Healing, Complex mechanisms like locks, doors, and chests. She is also an expert in Experimental Alchemy and can brew potions that provide buffs for a person.”

Sorine said, “Okay, I like what I hear about her but how will I recognize her?” Elora said, “She bears a set of scars on her face that she will tell you are from a grand battle against a Dwemer Centurion. They are not, they are from her childhood cat, Numi. Short for Numidum, which again, shows her deep obsession with Dwarven history.”

Elora said, “Also, she is Breton, how many Breton Scholars with Freckles and a Scar do you suppose you find in the Silverblood Inn in Markarth. Sorine said, “You never met her correct, never saw her. So, how is it you know so much about her. “

Elora replied, “I have many sources of information all across Nirn.” They provide me with information that they determine is important to my mission. Elora then reached over and touched the hand of Sorine. She then said, “You two are important to each other. You will not regret coming to know her, In time you may even thank me. That is all I can say for now. Some things I need to keep secret. Will you go?” Sorine said, “Yes, of course and thank you for sharing that with me.” Sorine got up and hugged both Elora and then Serana. “

Sorine turned before leaving and said, “You know Elora, someday you’re going to have to come clean with all of us of who you really are.” Elora replied, “I know and before this journey’s end you will know what that is.” Sorine turned and said, “Wish me luck!” Then she was gone.

Elora stood up and said, let us find Isran. We need to speak with him about the Elder Scroll you carry on you back.” Serana said, “Okay sister, after you.” The walked around then found Isran off in an area where there were lots of books like a library. They approached him and Elora asked, “Okay Isran. Any ideas on how were going to read this Elder Scroll?” Isran replied, “You’ll need to find a Moth Priest. However, most are back in the capital city of Cyrodiil. The Imperial City. I take it you’re not wanting to go all the way there.”

Elora said, “No, any other ideas.” Isran replied, “It just happens I was out patrolling the roads and saw what might have been a Moth Priest in a wagon traveling towards Dragon Reach for some reason. Maybe his final destination was Solitude since they have a pretty substantial library there.”

Serana asked, “How long ago was that?” Isran rubbed his beard then said, likely four to five days ago. I would check the roads between here and there to see if you can find the wagon. There were some Imperial soldiers with him as well. Most likely from the Imperial City.”

Serana said, “I have been wanting to get out see everything since I was sleeping my way through centuries of changes.” Elora said, “Okay, let’s get started. Dragon Reach is a long way from here.”

Elora and Serana made their way down to the pond where Elora spent a lot of time contemplating what to do next. It was getting near twilight and Elora said, “You want to camp here for the night? Beautiful spot!” Serana asked, “You want to just camp out on the ground?” “Elora said, “Nah! Give me a moment and she made some symbols in the air then a campsite began to appear with cooking fires, seating, a large tent with a double sized bed in it and a bookshelf with some rare books in it.”

Serana exclaimed, “How do you do that? I mean you just create all of this from nothing? You are not normal to be sure.” Elora asked, “You still like me though right! Even if I am a little odd. Hey you want something to eat?”

Serana smiled, “You offering up some of your blood or have you forgotten what I am?” Elora replied, “No father and mother might not like that too much. In fact, they would likely get really angry at me.” Serana said, “You ever going to tell me who your father and mother are?” Elora replied, “In time I will, I am just hoping you’ll forgive me for not being more honest about it all.”

Serana came over to Elora and leaned in to hug her. “I know this is hard on you. That you would not be keeping these secrets if you didn’t really believe you needed to. If you say in time, you will tell me. I am okay with that.” Elora said, “Thanks Serana. Serana then said, “I am going to go and get me an animal somewhere, that will satisfy me for now. You go ahead and fix whatever you need.” Serana went off into the night.

Elora fixed up some stew and some steaming hot tea. Serana returned and Elora asked, “Better?” Serana replied, “Yes, and you. Just having some home brewed tea. Why don’t you try it. I think your new heart will allow you to enjoy some human things again.” Elora said, “Here, let me pour you a cup.”

Elora handed the cup to Serana. She sipped on it and said, “This is good, really good. I can’t believe I can taste it. Thank you Elora.” When they were done Elora said, “Well I am tired and going to go to bed. I have a surprise in there for you in case you want to stay up a while.” They both walked into the tent and Serana saw the sitting chair with an open bookcase next to it full of books. She sat down and began to review what was there.

Serana then said, “These are some really rare books. You did this for me?” Elora said, “So you remembered that I said I really like to read books a lot.” Elora said, “Yes, I want you to be happy Serana.” Serana said thank you, then she realized there were tears rolling down her cheeks.” Serana exclaimed, “Elora, I have real tears rolling down my cheeks. Is that part of me now having a heart?” Elora said, “Yes, I do not know how many human traits you might inherit from our merging, so we’ll just have to see.”

Serana said, “Get some rest Elora. I can tell you are exhausted. I am going to read for a while then I will come and cuddle with you if that is okay.” Elora had undressed to her night gown and said, “Of course, just no nibbles.” Serana said, “I promise just cuddles!”

The next morning Elora woke up with Serana holding her. She could hear her gently sleeping. Elora reached out and held one of her hands and they were warm.” She thought I wonder!” Serana said, “Good morning Elora. That was nice, I can’t remember when I slept that good.” Elora turned around to face her and brushed her hair away from her eyes. She told her, “You really are pretty you know. It’s a shame what happened to you when you were so young”

Serana raised herself up and Elora noticed she was in her birthday suit. Elora asked Serana, “Do you always sleep in your birthday suit. “I just wanted to be close to you. Even if we couldn’t be close in that way. “I never felt this way about anyone before. You make me understand what it means to be human again. Thank you.” Serana leaned over and gave Elora a kiss on the cheek then said, “Come on, we have a long day ahead of us.” She got up and got dressed. Elora did the same.

Elora then said, “I am going to leave this here so whenever we come back here, we can spend time together without you needing to be on your best behavior because of the Dawnguard.” Serana said, “Thank you Elora, I like it when it is just the two of us out here. I feel happy, free of all this stuff that is circling us all the time.”

They made their way outside of the valley. Elora looked around and didn’t see anything then said, “Care to get a free ride again?” Serana said, “Of course, I do not want to pass up a chance to cuddle up again.” Elora replied, “Well you have to keep your clothes on this time because we’ll be come out of the shift near Dragon Bridge. “Serana replied, “You spoil all the fun, you know.”

Elora lifted her up again and slid her close to her. “Hold on, here we go!” Serana felt the shift in reality then they reappeared outside of Dragon Reach and its bridge that crosses over it. Elora put Serana down quickly and pulled out her long knife.

Serana asked, “What’s wrong Elora?” Something’s not right, there’s been an ambush or two nearby. I also sense the presence of your kin close by somewhere. Serana pulled out a nasty-looking Daedric dagger that glowed red along its edge.

Elora led them down towards a wagon that had been turned over. There were dead Imperial Soldiers, a dead Vampire and a horse that had been half eaten by the Vampires. Elora saw a journal nearby the vampire and picked it up to read it.”

Elora told Serana, “Apparently, this was an order from your father. He ordered them to get this Moth Priest and take him to a nearby cave to see if they could find a way to control him, so he could read the Elder Scroll once it is recovered from you. “

Elora then said, “Well, your father certainly doesn’t stay cautious too long does he? He really is obsessed. You know in time, we’re going to have to do something to stop him. I will see if I can figure a way to not have him killed.”

Serana replied, “I think I have come to understand that might be the only way to stop him.” Elora said, “I may have one way to keep him on ice as it were, but it is not much better. “Serana asked, “What is it?”

Elora said, “It is what is called a dream sleep. A sort of forever sleep where they stay in a suspended state unless I bring them back out of it. I used it to frighten some other Vampire clans to get them to seriously consider my offer to free them and let them live out their very long lives back in the sun and moonlight.”

Serana asked, “You can do that, I have never heard of such a thing.” Elora said, “I have already done it twice. Once in Cyrodiil to an old Vampiric Clan near one of the old Ayleid Ruins. The other were the clan living under Mara’s Eye Pond.”

Serana then asked, “So, they accepted your terms?” Elora said, “Why would they not. They had an opportunity to return to a normal life and still live forever as long as they did not get killed by some act of nature of something. “

Serana asked, “Your terms, what were they. “Elora replied, “That they live their lives free, not in obligation to me or anyone else. I told them they could not return to their old ways as in time, I would find out and put them in the forever dream state.”

Elora said, “It’s all very complex. For now, we need to find this cave and old fort within and free this Moth Priest they have captured.” They tracked them by way of bloodstains and splatters to the northeast until they reached five standing stones. There beyond the stones was the hidden entrance to Forebears Holdout.

Elora paused, looked at Serana, told her, “Give a wide birth to those five standing stones. I sense they are ancient and to what purpose they serve I am not sure but historically my tonal architecture reacts to such stones. Not always in a good way. “Serana nodded okay and they split and both came around to the hidden entry from opposite sides of the stones.

Elora whispered once inside to Serana, “Those that are inside cannot be saved. The fact that they are here at all doing your father’s business shows they are beyond my help. You understand?” Serana replied, “Yes, sister! We will do what must be done to free this Moth Priest from whatever foul fate my father had planned for him.”

Serana pulled out her special blade. The one Elora had seen her use before. Elora pulled out her long knife etched with runic symbols with its edge flicking blood red and hot white light. They both moved forward and came up on a platform. From there, they could see an ancient fort across a river. They both saw Vampires patrolling the ramparts of this ancient fort. Up high they could see a large orb of energy. Likely a protective device keeping the Moth Priest suspended while they tortured him.

Elora moved close to Serana, kissed her on the cheek and said, “I may need to invoke the same power that merged us as one back when we were both trying to escape Dimhollow. Are you okay with that?”

Serana reached out and place her hand on where Elora’s heart was located. Her hand glowed when she touched the spot. Elora reached out and did the same. Her hand glowed as well. They both leaned in and kissed each other full on the lips. Then withdrew.

Elora told Serana, “Down that path I sense several death hounds ahead. We need to eliminate them then cross the narrow bridge leading west and follow the wall until an opening reveals a huge bonfire. That is when I would like evoke the merge. I sense there is one very powerful Vampire there in charge of converting the Moth Priest to your father’s will.”

Elora and Serana split so they could separately eliminate the death hound threat. They were both in different locations. Once done they joined up and crossed over the bridge. They made their way along the wall of the old fort. Then Elora slowed them down and pointed above, then across beyond the fire, up the stairs, then to the left, then right and finally above the glowing orb surrounding the Moth Priest.

Elora and Serana both reached out and touched each other’s hearts again. Elora invoked the words of merging. Within seconds they had vanished to flash above and turn both the Vampires and the Gargoyles to dust. Then they flashed again and took out the Vampires beyond the great fire hidden in shadow. Up the stairs a way, to the left then the right and then both appeared high above the orb.

There they both knelt in silence listening to the conversations below. They heard: Markus, “The more you fight me, the more you will suffer, mortal.” The Moth Priest,” I will resist you monster, I must!” Markus replied, “How much longer can you keep this up, Moth Priest? Your mind was strong, but you have exhausted yourself from the struggle.” Moth Priest, “Must…resist…” Markus, “Yes, I can feel your defenses crumbling. You want it to end. You want to give in to me. Now, acknowledge me as your master!” Moth Priest, “Yes master…”

Elora had heard enough and pointed below. Both Elora and Serana vanished to a spot directly in front of Markus. Both slid their blades in unison across the neck of Markus and saw his final look of surprise. Then he vanished into dust. Elora gathered up what was a Focus Weystone. They made their way up the stairs do a special place where the Weystone could be placed. Elora placed the stone in its slot and the orb surrounding the Moth Priest vanished.

Below the Moth Priest mumbled, “I serve the will of my master. But my master is dead, and his enemies will pay!” Elora flicked her fingers and both she and Serana vanished and appeared again behind the Moth Priest.

Elora places a spell of immobilization upon him and then Elora and Serana reached out with their glowing hands and touched the area of his heart. The spell broke and he said, “That…that was not me you were struggling with. I could see you both appear, but I could not control my actions. Thank you for breaking the spell that foul Vampire had over me. “

Elora spoke first, “Are you okay?” The Moth Priest replied, “Yes, thanks to both of you. Dexion Evicus is my name. I am a Moth Priest of the White gold Tower. These Vampires claimed they had some purpose in store for me they would not say what. Probably hoping to ransom me, the fools. Now tell me, whom do you represent and what do you want with me?”

Then Dexion said, “Wait a minute, you are a Vampire too, but not the same. You have a beating heart. How is that possible? Then he turned to Elora and fell to his knees prostrating himself before her. It’s not possible, how has the Covenant of the Alessian Bloodline been restored. Forgive me princess, I am unworthy! Serana was stunned as she watched this play out.

Elora then heard Rosenlyn in her mind. “Oh my! Well, the truth is out now. You’re going to have to come clean with both of them. I think Serana will be okay, but you’ll need to help her. By the way, they all know here. You can blame the Psijic Order for their infallible insights. I am okay Elora, do what you must do.”

Elora bent over, reach out and place her hands on the shoulders of Dexion and said, “Dexion, please, no, do not do this. I have not come to have you do this. I have come to bring about a new age where we all stand as equals. She helped him to stand up and he said, “Forgive me, princess but may I see your face.

Elora pulled back her hood. Dexion exclaimed, “You are the splitting image of your mother Saint Alessia when she was your age.” Elora asked, “How would you know that Dexion.” Elora if that is your true name? I am a Moth Priest, we spend our lives studying the Elder Scrolls, we live in the White Gold Tower where there are some of the oldest libraries that exist here on Nirn.”

Dexion asked her, “How, how could this be? None of us foresaw this happening.” Elora replied to Dexion, “It is a very long story Dexion and I will tell you in time but for now. I have a very stunned and upset sister that I need to apologize too!” Dexion replied, “Of course, I will give you two a moment of privacy and begin walking towards the exit out of here. I take it that because of who and what you are there are no more dangers?”

Elora replied, “Yes, Dexion the way is clear. Wait for us at the exit. We will be there soon.” Serana was crying raw tears. “You’re a daughter of Saint Alessia, the bloodline of the Septims?”

Elora said, “Forgive me Serana. I would never do anything to hurt you. Everything that has happened between us, all the feelings, the time spent together. None of this changes that.” Serana reached out and hugged her tight. Elora did the same. But if you are a princess that means your father is Akatosh, the first, and Father of Time.” Yes, that is true.”

Serana then drew back and asked, “So Elora, what is your true name?” A voice rose above them and said to Serana. “Here before you stands Etain, Saorlaith, Oralaith. Etain incarnated from before the first word of The Elder Scrolls was born, Saorlaith, of royal blood, a ruler yet to be, and Oralaith, empress and high queen of Nirn and the coming age.”

Then the voice said, “Welcome to the family Princess Serana.” She knelt to one knee and said, “You must be Saint Alessia.” You said, “Welcome to the family. Why?” Etain, our daughter has merged her essence with you. You should be humbled. There are very few she has done that with. She must see you someone very special indeed to have given you this gift. So, Yes, Welcome to the family.”

Elora came over and helped Serana to stand. She then said, “Serana, you do not have to prostrate yourself before me or my mother and father. You are part of the family now.” Then Alessia replied, “Oh, and how that family is growing isn’t it Etain. You need to tell her of your daughter and Rosenlyn.”

Serana exclaimed, “A daughter, you have a…” Elora replied, “Yes, however she is still in the womb. Rosenlyn, Introduce yourself to our new family member, Serana.” Rosenlyn reached out and said, “Welcome sister, I am an Acolyte to Azura, also a Dragonborn, and bloodline of the Septims.”

Serana said, but if you’re a women, how is that even possible?” Rosenlyn laughed and said, “Etain here is full of surprises. She used the power of creation to plant her seed inside of me before she left to save you. Take deep breaths and know you are now part of a family that existed before the creation of dawn.” We’ll catch up with each other later. Oh, and by the way sister, Etain was right, You are quite pretty!”

Both Alessia and Rosenlyn went silent then and Serana said, “You are a mother, with a daughter on the way. Which means…” Elora replied, “It is a bit complicated but yes, she is your niece.” As my mother has said, “Welcome to the family. Let’s go and meet up with Dexion who waits for us at the exit. I need to speak to both you before we leave here.”

They met up with Dexion. He asked, “How many others know about you Etain. I heard, your mother shared that part of the conversation with me.” Many others wait for us eventually back at High Hrothgar, the home of the Greybeards. Really, I would love to travel there with you someday and see that place. It is a place of great history.”

Etain then said, “Isran also knows but that was an accident. When he ran his test on me to see if I was a Vampire my father and mother warned him not to test me in that way again. They told him who I was and a small bit about my mission here then swore him to secrecy.” Serana then said, ‘I wondered why he showed you so much respect.” Anyway, you can’t talk about this to anyone else. Yes, we can speak in private but no one else can know. I have accumulated many enemies including my brother Alduin.”

Dexion cried, “Alduin, the world eater has returned.” Elora exclaimed, “Long story, that is why I am here also.” Okay Etain, “Of course I am sworn to your service and your wishes.” I expect there is a story for the ages waiting to be told about this. Etain replied, “You have no idea Dexion. Come on, I am going to take us back to a campsite near Fort Dawnguard. Once there I ask that you go ahead to the fort and introduce yourself to Isran.

Dexion said, “Really, I know that place. That is where you are currently staying?” Etain replied, “Yes, I need to spend some private time at the campsite with my sister here. I think she needs a little more information. I feel so bad about all of this.” Dexion said, “so how does this work?” Elora replied, “Both of you just hold on to my hands.” They did so and then she bent reality and they appeared within seconds back at the campsite near Fort Dawnguard.

Once they were back she told Dexion, just take that path until you come to a gate. There will be those dedicated to the Dawnguard there. Tell them who you are, and I ask them to escort you to Isran. Oh, while we are here my name is still Elora.” He smiled and said, “You know you are a very humble person considering the power you command.” Elora said, “Yes, there are stories around that as well. When we get to High Hrothgar someday. You and Julian a scholar from Cyrodiil will get along great. He is my official scribe and advisor now.”

Dexion walked away then Etain said come on Serana. I’ll do what I can to explain some of this. They both enter the tent and Serana leaned in to hug her and said, “Elora, “I feel terrible that I tried to slowly seduce you. Now that I know you are a mother and pledged to another. Elora released her, undressed completely and drew back the covers. She then patted the space beside her.

Serana said, “I can’t do that! What about Rosenlyn. When you meet her someday. She will tell you about my insatiable appetites for closeness. She will also thank you for becoming part of the family is she is having a difficult time keeping up with the appetite of our daughter who is growing rapidly inside of her.”

Serana asked Elora, “Are you sure?” Elora said, “Of course come on.” Serana undressed and crawled under the covers with her. Etain reached out then and began to gently caress Serana.

She moved slowly from her hair and face then to her neck where she leaned to kiss her gently. Serana called out, “Oh Elora, I love you so much! I need you sister, don’t stop!”

They both became lost in an hour-long frolicking under the covers. When done, Serana said, “Rosenlyn was right. You really do have unusual appetites. Thank you Elora, I needed to know that I could feel something in that way without trying to control and dominate you.

Elora asked, “Did you notice anything different this time?” Serana said, “Yes, I actually felt it physically somehow, like I was human again. I also feel warm and I can feel my heart beating within me.”

Elora said, “More and more of your human side are coming alive in you over time. As you experience more of what that means you will understand as I have come to know. Just how precious of a gift that human side is.”

Serana said, “I could stay here with you like this for hours. But we better get cleaned up and return to the fort. I am sure the others are waiting for us. Any ideas. Come on, grab a robe, and follow me. I have already created a hidden spot for that. She put on the robe but did not close it.

Elora said, “Watch it now, if you keep parading yourself like Rosenlyn we may never get back to the fort.” Serana replied, “Really, so it is working!” They reached the hidden cove and hot springs. Etain dropped her robe and stepped in. Serana did the same. They took turns cleaning each other up.

An hour later they made their way back to the tent and got dressed. Then Elora pulled her hood up again and said come on. Isran is anxious to know what is going on. They made their way back and there were no incidents. When they entered there was a crowd of both Dawnguard, helpers, Isran, and Dexion waiting.
