Etain and Rosenlyn arrived together back in the great hall and gathered her closet to her. She sat down on the floor with Rosenlyn sitting beside her. There was Hadvar, The Champion of Kyne, Celestine and Delphine, Julian, Khamira, and the other two Khajiit that traveled with her.
Etain began by saying. “This is important or Kyne and my mother would not have made this request. You know I would have you all by my side if I could but this time it cannot be. You’ve all heard the reasons why. I have already spent time looking into the future of unseen possibilities and know that many of you will be needed as I near the end of this journey. “
Etain pause then said, “Remember what I have taught you. Rosenlyn will still be here with you. She is now the better part of us both. Look to her for support but give her what she will need over time.” I am going to complete my final preparations then I will leave by way of the Great Courtyard. “One of my brothers have said they will take me on the Winds of Kynareth to Riften and let me down near the hidden entry to the old Fort Dawnguard. That is the start of my journey.”
She looked at them all and asked, “This is your final chance to ask me questions, it will be a very long time before we see each other again. Don’t expect to hear from me until we near the final steps of the expedition.”
There were no questions and each of those who had come to support her in her quest came and kissed her on the cheek or forehead, said to her ‘Our blessings be with you always!” Hadvar was last. Rosenlyn was still there and watch this exchanged closely. Hadvar came to Etain and began to speak. But then Etain placed her hand on his heart. A warm glow spread to him, then she turned without saying a word and walked out through the double doors to the Great Courtyard.
Rosenlyn watched this and then watched Hadvar turn and go back to the living quarters that had been provided for them. Rosenlyn then felt a slight twinge in her and knew that what Etain had given her was beginning to take on life. Rosenlyn quietly said, “I will miss you my sister, may the blessings of our line go with you always. Please return as I don’t think I could do this alone.”
